Hello lovelies!
I had such an amazing day yesterday and I really wanted to share it with you all! So yesterday, I went to Derby to see Peter Pan at the Guild Hall theatre. Originally it was supposed to be at Derby Assembly rooms but it had to re-locate after a huge fire in the car park. Anyway I met up with two girls that I made friends with through twitter and we all sat together. The theatre is very tiny and we were sat on the second row so we were so so close to the stage which was amazing!
The show itself was so funny and I enjoyed it so much! My three favourite people in the show were Rachel Grundy who played Tiger Lily, Darragh Mortell who played a pirate (can't remember his exact name) and of course Dani Harmer who played Wendy! Me and the girls are massive fans of Dani hence why we went to see her so it was amazing to see her perform especially when she sings! Half way through the performance Darragh noticed we were there and gave us a smile and a nod and kept pulling faces and looking at us for the rest of the performance which made us all laugh so much. Then towards the end Dani and Rachel saw us in the audience and gave us a little wave and a smile which was so sweet of them (Dani follows us all on twitter and we've all already met her a few times so she knows who we are). After the show we all waited around to see if we could meet Dani and we did! She didn't have long because she had another show in the evening so when she came out she was hiding with her hood up because she wouldn't have time to meet all the little kids, but she knew us so she told us to help hide her as we went outside haha! She chatted to us for a while and gave us all lots of hugs and we all had a group photo with her which was really special! The loveliest thing is that she always manages to make time for us despite only having a short amount of time. We also saw and spoke to Rachel too and she was so lovely!
Overall I had such an amazing day and I'm so thankful that I got to spend it with two amazing friends and our favourite actress! We had been planning and looking forward to the day for so long and I'm so relieved it all went to plan. I miss the girls so much already but hopefully we can all meet again next time Dani goes on tour for another amazing day!
Peter Pan is still on tour until Sunday and I would highly recommend the show I you have time to go and see it. It's a pantomime but it's is suitable for all ages. Details of times and dates can be found here - http://www.enchantedentertainment.co.uk/peter-pan-tour2014/
