Last night my dance school did their annual dance presentation evening where all the classes perform a routine and then the town Mayor and Mayoress hand out the awards and certificates from our exams.
My group did a routine to the song Play Hard by David Guetta and it went really well. However there is more than one version of the song and the DJ had a completely different version of the song than the one we had rehearsed too. Luckily we found this out before we performed and it was a bit of a panic to sort it out but eventually we did and last minute we managed to sort everything out... phew!
One of the mums filmed this and I think it's pretty good for saying we only have classes for an hour a week. My dance teacher also said that someone went up to her at the end of the night and told her that they thought that my group had really improved in the last 12 months which really made me smile.
This is a picture of me and the girls in my class with our trophies/medals and certificates with the Mayor and Mayoress. I wasn't 100% keen on the costumes we had to wear but this was mainly due to the fact we had to wear tights on our arms... I definitely think it would have been a whole lot better without them haha.
February has been a busy month for me. Last weekend I spent the night in a hotel in Doncaster with family for my Dads 50th birthday, it was my dance presentation last night and then next week I'm spending 2 nights away in another hotel because it's my cousins wedding which I'm looking forward to. Thanks for reading and I hope you are having a fab February... have you done or have you got anything nice planned? Let me know in the comments!
